she left me on read for 8 months...
↓
(Not in a shady way. Just in a “not now” kinda way.)
I sent the cold pitch anyway.
Because I genuinely love her jewelry. And I knew I could help, if (when!) she needed it.
No pressure, no “let me pick your brain” weirdness. Just a friendly note, a few ideas, and a hope that she’d remember my name even if she wasn’t ready.
Fast forward a few quarters, and she wanted to hear more. Yay!!
So we got to work. I dug deep, sent an intensive brand questionnaire that led to writing a rock SOLID brand messaging guide.
That had her saying: "WOW! You summarized and restructured the Brand Messaging perfectly! This feels 100% authentic... did I just fall in love with my business even more?! YOU ARE AMAZING!!"
Like, omg stttooopp, I'm blushing 🤭 Seriously the BEST music to this copywriter's ear.
I then got to work on writing, designing, and setting up the backend tech in Klavyio for her 5 essential flows while she prepped for all the killer sales she'd be receiving.
After minimal edit requests and final approvals, I turned the flows live.
And in JUST one week, she made back 200% of what she paid me.
I don’t say that to flex. I say that because if I had waited for the “perfect time” to pitch myself, I’d still be waiting.
That first pitch email didn’t land right away. But it planted the first seeds of connection.
So if you’ve been waiting for a sign to show up in your inbox with confetti and a flashing CTA button... hi. This is it.
(ok, maybe not a flashing CTA button, but ya get the point. 😜)
